The job application has become the center of hiring technology. We think it should be only one moment in a longer relationship.

Job boards solve a narrow moment

A job board helps someone find an opening. It does not necessarily help that person remain visible when a better opportunity appears next month. The candidate may have gained a skill, changed preferences, or completed a project, but the old application rarely captures that progress.

Discovery should not reset

Deligon is based on a different assumption: professional identity is continuous, while job applications are occasional. Candidates should be able to maintain one evolving profile and add evidence as their abilities change. Recruiters should be able to search that information against their real needs, subject to candidate privacy and permission.

Validation creates a more useful signal

A resume describes experience. A targeted skill assessment can provide additional evidence, although no short test can fully predict job performance. Used together, they can help a recruiter decide which conversation to have first. Regular updates are valuable when they reflect actual learning rather than a race to accumulate scores.

The human part gets more important

As search and initial screening become easier, recruiters can spend more time understanding motivation, team fit, compensation, and the work itself. Candidates can focus on presenting authentic experience rather than repeatedly formatting applications. Automation should move effort toward better conversations, not make decisions opaque.

A pivot with a purpose

UmEmployed helped shape our understanding of hiring friction. Deligon is the next step: candidate onboarding, persistent profiles, skill evidence, and conversational discovery designed as one connected experience. We believe the next useful hiring platform will help people be found, not only help them apply.

How Deligon fits

Deligon is our bet that candidate discovery should be continuous, respectful, and evidence-led. Follow the pivot at Deligon.com.
